The Ups and Downs of UI/UX Design: A Guide Through It — Understanding UI/UX Design

 Understanding UI/UX

UI (User Interface) design and UX (User Experience) design are two closely related disciplines that focus on creating effective and user-friendly digital products, such as websites, applications, and software. They involve different aspects of design but work together to enhance the overall user experience.

What is UI/UX

UI Design (User Interface Design):
UI design is concerned with the visual and interactive aspects of a digital product. It involves creating the visual elements that users see and interact with on the screen. UI designers strive to make the interface aesthetically pleasing, consistent, and easy to understand.

UX Design (User Experience Design):
UX design focuses on the overall experience a user has while interacting with a product. It’s concerned with understanding user needs, behaviors, and emotions to create a seamless and enjoyable experience. UX designers work to ensure that users can easily achieve their goals and have a positive emotional response to the product.

In Simple Terms:

Imagine you’re playing a video game on a computer or using an app on a phone. Have you ever noticed how things look, how you click on buttons, and how easy it is to use? That’s where UI and UX design come in!

UI Design (User Interface Design):
Think of UI designers as artists who create the pictures and buttons you see on the screen. They choose the colors, shapes, and styles that make the game or app look cool and pretty. For example, when you play a game and you see a colorful button with a smiley face that you can tap to start playing, that’s the work of UI designers. They make sure everything is organized and easy to find, like when you want to find your favorite game quickly.

UX Design (User Experience Design):
Now, imagine you’re in a magical adventure game. UX designers are like the wizards who make sure you have an awesome time while playing. They figure out how the game should work so you don’t get stuck and frustrated. Let’s say you’re playing a puzzle game. UX designers would make sure the puzzles are not too hard or too easy, so you have fun solving them. They also ask kids like you what they like and don’t like about the game to make it even better. And if you ever get confused while playing, UX designers will wave their magic wands and make things clearer.

So, UI designers make everything look cool and easy to use, while UX designers make sure you have a super fun and easy time playing games or using apps. Together, they create the perfect experience for you, just like when you build an awesome sandcastle at the beach with colorful shells and secret passages — that’s UI and UX working together!

Key Components

UI Design (User Interface Design):

1. Visual Elements: This includes designing icons, buttons, typography, color schemes, and other graphical elements that contribute to the overall look and feel of the interface.

2. Layout Design: UI designers arrange elements on the screen to ensure clarity, hierarchy, and ease of navigation.

3. Responsive Design: Creating interfaces that adapt to different screen sizes and devices, providing a consistent experience across platforms.

4. Interactivity: Designing how users interact with the interface elements, such as animations, transitions, and user feedback.

UX Design (User Experience Design):

1. User Research: Conducting research to understand user behaviors, needs, and pain points. This involves techniques like user interviews, surveys, and usability testing.

2. Information Architecture: Organizing content and features in a way that makes sense to users, ensuring easy navigation and findability.

3. Wireframing and Prototyping: Creating low-fidelity sketches or interactive prototypes to test and refine the user flow and functionality.

4. Usability Testing: Testing the product with real users to identify usability issues and gather feedback for improvements.

5. User Persona Creation: Developing fictional representations of different user types to guide design decisions.

6. User Journeys: Mapping out the various steps a user takes while interacting with the product to identify pain points and opportunities for improvement.

Conclusion

In summary, UI design is primarily concerned with the visual and interactive elements of the interface, while UX design focuses on the holistic user experience, including research, usability, and emotional aspects. Both disciplines are essential for creating digital products that are not only functional but also engaging and user-centric.

The Powerhouse Duo: Unveiling the Importance of UI/UX Design in Crafting Digital Excellence

From my previous article, where I delved into the intricate tapestry of UI/UX design, we embarked on a journey to demystify the world of user interfaces and experiences. Building upon that foundation, let’s now ascend to the next level of understanding, as we explore the profound significance of UI/UX design in the contemporary digital landscape.

The Powerhouse Duo: Unveiling the Importance of UI/UX Design in Crafting Digital Excellence

Introduction

In my previous article, I meticulously unraveled the essence of UI/UX design, establishing a solid framework to comprehend its nuances. Now, armed with that knowledge, we venture deeper to uncover the pivotal role UI/UX plays in crafting the very essence of digital interactions.

Creating Positive User Experiences

1. Importance of User-Centered Design

Imagine a digital realm where every platform is tailored to suit your preferences, where interaction is so seamless that it almost becomes an extension of your thoughts. This utopian landscape is not a distant dream, but a realm that UI/UX designers are fervently shaping. Drawing inspiration from my previous article where I expounded on the core concepts of UI and UX, we understand that the crux lies in placing the user at the heart of design.

User-centered design isn’t merely a catchphrase; it’s the cornerstone of creating meaningful interactions. By empathizing with users, comprehending their needs, desires, and pain points, designers transform complexity into simplicity, and frustration into delight. It’s a harmonious dance between the user’s expectations and the designer’s ingenuity, culminating in experiences that resonate at a personal level.

2. Building Intuitive Interfaces

At the intersection of art and science lies the realm of intuitive interfaces. Referencing my earlier discourse, the user interface is the gateway to a digital application, akin to the entrance of a grand palace. Just as a majestic entrance sets the tone for the entire palace, an intuitive interface paves the way for an enchanting digital experience.

UI/UX designers harness the power of simplicity, seamlessly guiding users through the intricate labyrinths of technology. Each element placed meticulously, each color chosen deliberately, these seemingly small choices amalgamate into an experience that feels like second nature. Through intuitive interfaces, users are empowered to navigate with ease, transcending barriers of technical complexity.

3. Enhancing Accessibility and Inclusivity

Inclusivity is the soul of a harmonious society, and the digital realm is no exception. As I explored in my prior article, UI/UX design has the unparalleled potential to create gateways to knowledge, entertainment, and communication for individuals of all abilities.

Referencing my earlier elucidation, UI/UX designers champion the cause of accessibility, crafting experiences that transcend physical and cognitive limitations. The right contrast ratios, text sizes, screen reader compatibility — these are not mere checkboxes; they’re the building blocks of an inclusive digital civilization. Through these efforts, the digital realm transforms into an egalitarian landscape where everyone’s needs are acknowledged and accommodated.

Conclusion

As we gaze upon the horizon of the digital age, it’s abundantly clear that UI/UX design is the brush that paints the canvas of tomorrow. Drawing inspiration from my previous article where I embarked on the journey of defining UI/UX, we’ve now journeyed deeper, discovering the profound implications of these concepts.

From fostering empathy-driven designs to conjuring intuitive interfaces andembracing inclusivity, UI/UX design stands as the beacon guiding us towards a future where digital interactions are not just functional, but transformative experiences. Armed with this knowledge, we’re empowered to appreciate and advocate for the indispensable role of UI/UX design in shaping the landscape of human-technology interaction.

So, let’s journey forth with newfound awareness, celebrating the triumphs of UI/UX design and championing its cause to create a digital world that’s beautiful, functional, and accessible to all. For in the realm of UI/UX design, the seeds of innovation we plant today will blossom into the awe-inspiring gardens of tomorrow’s digital landscapes

The Satisfying Answer to Existence: An ordeal in disguise

Why shouldn't we be thinking about Existence in a different light? Instead of perceiving it as selfless and wicked, could there be a satisfying answer to the enigma of Existence that transforms it from an ordeal into a profound journey?

To truly comprehend the nature of Existence, we must delve into the depths of philosophical inquiry. Over the centuries, numerous thinkers have grappled with the concept, attempting to capture its essence and unravel its mysteries. Aristotle, for instance, focused on the idea of essence, perceiving existence as inseparable from the inherent nature of things. However, this perspective only scratches the surface of Existence.

Philosophers like Frege and Russell took a different approach, defining existence as separate from essence and emphasizing its independent existence as a distinct entity. While their definition offers valuable insights, it is crucial to acknowledge that it is not the sole interpretation of Existence. Existence encompasses a multifaceted spectrum of meaning that extends far beyond a single definition.

In our exploration of Existence, we encounter profound questions that often leave us bewildered. We ponder the purpose of our existence, the meaning behind our actions, and the significance of our existence in the grand tapestry of the universe. These existential questions can be both daunting and overwhelming, leading us to question the very fabric of our reality.

However, perhaps the key to finding a satisfying answer lies not in banishing Existence but in embracing it with a different perspective. Instead of perceiving it as a burden or a wicked force, we can reframe Existence as an opportunity for growth, self-discovery, and connection.

Existence offers us the chance to experience the beauty and complexity of the world around us. It allows us to forge meaningful relationships, to explore our passions, and to contribute to the betterment of society. Through Existence, we can cultivate empathy, understanding, and love.

Moreover, Existence is not limited to our individual lives. It extends beyond the boundaries of our existence and encompasses the collective human experience. We are interconnected, and our actions ripple through the fabric of reality, shaping the course of history and influencing the lives of others.

Rather than succumbing to the despair of existential questions, we can approach Existence with curiosity and a thirst for knowledge. We can engage in philosophical discourse, scientific exploration, and artistic expression to deepen our understanding of the world and our place within it.

In this pursuit, we discover that Existence is not merely an ordeal but a profound and transformative journey. It is an invitation to seek meaning, to explore our passions, and to make a positive impact on the lives of others. It is through the challenges and triumphs of our existence that we find purpose and fulfillment.

So, let us abandon the notion of Existence as wicked or selfless and instead embrace it as a gift. Let us strive to live authentically, to create meaningful connections, and to leave a lasting legacy. In doing so, we may find the satisfying answer to Existence, hidden amidst the trials and tribulations of our extraordinary journey.

Originally as the Article title entails "an ordeal in disguise", countless of stories and real life experiences have illustrated this Article.

The wind whispered through the towering trees of the Enchanted Forest, as a young wanderer named Ethan found himself lost amidst its mystical depths. With each step, he contemplated the meaning of his own existence, haunted by a constant sense of longing for purpose.

As the sun began to set, casting an ethereal glow upon the forest, Ethan stumbled upon a hidden clearing. Bathed in golden light, there stood an old, weathered tree adorned with vibrant, swirling patterns. Intrigued, he approached it, sensing an air of ancient wisdom emanating from its gnarled branches.

With a gentle touch, Ethan traced the intricate patterns etched into the tree's bark. Suddenly, a doorway materialized before him, inviting him to step into the unknown. Curiosity overcoming his hesitation, he crossed the threshold and found himself in a vast library, filled with shelves upon shelves of books.

The room was empty, save for a lone figure sitting at a wooden desk. It was an elderly man, his eyes gleaming with a depth of knowledge that transcended time. This man introduced himself as the Guardian of Existence, entrusted with the task of guiding lost souls towards a satisfying understanding of their purpose.

Intrigued by Ethan's quest, the Guardian began to weave a tale of existence. He spoke of a grand tapestry, intricately woven with threads of joy, pain, love, and sorrow. Each thread represented a life, a unique journey through which souls could discover their own meaning and contribute to the collective human experience.

Ethan listened intently as the Guardian explained that existence was not a mere series of happenstance, but a deliberate orchestration of opportunities for growth and self-discovery. He revealed that the ordeals faced by individuals were disguised lessons, meant to shape their character and deepen their understanding of themselves and the world.

The young wanderer's perspective shifted, as he started to see existence as a profound gift rather than a burden. The Guardian shared stories of individuals who, despite enduring great hardships, had discovered their purpose and made lasting contributions to humanity. Their experiences served as beacons of hope, illuminating the path towards a fulfilling existence.

Enlightened by these tales, Ethan realized that the answer to his own existential questions lay not in banishing existence, but in embracing it wholeheartedly. He understood that every experience, whether joyous or painful, held within it the potential for growth, compassion, and profound self-discovery.

With newfound clarity, Ethan bid farewell to the Guardian of Existence, stepping back through the doorway into the Enchanted Forest. As he made his way back home, he carried within him a renewed sense of purpose, eager to live each day with intention and embrace the journey of existence with open arms.

From that day forward, Ethan dedicated himself to making a positive impact on the lives of others, cherishing the interconnectedness of all beings. His understanding of existence as an opportunity for growth and self-discovery became a guiding light, inspiring those he encountered to embark on their own quests for meaning.

And so, as Ethan continued to wander through life's twists and turns, he discovered that the satisfying answer to existence lay not in banishing it, but in embracing its challenges and finding profound beauty within the hidden ordeals along the way.

2023 new year resolutions

Depending on how jaded you’ve become, ringing in the new year represents either a real and hopeful opportunity for a “new you” or just another night to get drunk and proceed as usual.

While time is a social construct, and it’s unlikely that anything will magically change about yourself or the world overnight, the sentiments around celebrating a new year don’t have to be completely sentimental. The end of every year and the inevitable coming of the next can still be a good reminder to reflect on your habits and a prompt to plan for some positive changes.

Here are just some ways to do that (aka New Year’s resolutions), if you wanted to:

1. Stay the same

The coming of the new year might make you feel like you need to make some drastic changes or big upgrades to your life. But what if you kind of like your life as it is, at least right now? Don’t let the holiday make you question things you know you’re happy with. It’s OK if you like staying home. And it’s OK if you like to get wasted on weekends. If things are fine, recognize that and proceed as you are. Unless you’re hurting someone, or you’re an asshole.

2. Call your family only as often as you like

Yes, you should spend more time with your family, but not if it makes you resent them. There’s nothing wrong with setting some boundaries to make you appreciate them more and vice versa. Don’t wait until someone’s sick to start visiting, but also don’t visit if it’s just going to put you in a bad mood for a week.

3. Use all your leaves at work

Don’t work when you’re sick. Say you need a mental health day. Plan a vacation and stick to it. Those leaves are yours to use.

4. Milk all your work benefits

While you review your contract to find out how many leaves you have left, also review what benefits come with the job. In fact, in the spirit of the new year, why don’t you just go ahead and ask for more. Maybe your company can pay for your internet, maybe it can give you money for new equipment. They can’t fire you for asking.

5. Try (or end) a situationship

If you don’t know what that is, lucky you. Or maybe unlucky you. Some situationships are fun (supposedly). If you think you can have one, go ahead and try it. Other situations are shit (still, supposedly). If you think you’re in one, go ahead and end it if that’s something you don’t want to carry over to 2023.

6. Stop “liking” Instagram stories

If you want someone to know you’re into them, muster up the courage to at least react with an emoji that they can reply to. Cowards.

7. Get on PrEP

The pill that drastically prevents HIV infection is for anyone at risk of getting HIV—basically anyone who has sex. If that’s you, ask your doctor about it.

8. Pursue your pleasure

There is no such thing as a guilty pleasure because feeling good shouldn’t make you feel bad (that’s why it feels good!). Beyond criminal offenses and hurting people (including yourself), stop being ashamed of the things you enjoy. Keep enjoying them.

9. Unsubscribe, don’t like, and don’t leave a comment

There’s no need for you to interact with absolutely everything you see on the internet. There isn’t even a need to see all of it to begin with. Throughout the year, think twice if you really want to give so much of yourself away by reacting to something, and regularly review the channels and profiles you follow. Don’t hesitate to unfollow some of them—you can always follow them again.

10. Learn some new sex stuff

Maybe you’re already good at sex. You know what, maybe you’re great. But you can always be better. This doesn’t necessarily mean learning fancy new tricks or kinky stuff, although it can. Whether you’re eating ass or sucking clit, it can also be helpful to go back to the basics.

11. Start caring about something

There is a lot going on in the world and plenty is changing all the time. Some of those things will prove to be important in five or 10 years, others a waste of time. Choose one thing and decide to care about it, no matter how overwhelming or even hopeless it might feel at the start. Maybe it’s the climate crisis, the economy, local and international politics, or crypto. At the very least, you’ll learn something new.

12. Stop caring about something

Many people carry around the weight of expectations, their own or others, real or imagined. They’d simply do better leaving those behind. Is having the latest in designer fashion really that important if you can’t actually afford it? How will obsessing over the number of likes you get on a social media post benefit you? And no, your ex doesn’t have to know how hot you’ve become. You’re still hot anyway.

13. Try something mystical

You don’t have to buy into it completely, but there’s a reason things like astrology and tarot have been around for so long. Ask a friend who’s into it to tell you about it, or search your sign on TikTok. Whether it makes you feel seen, ridiculous, or ridiculously seen, you’ll at least feel something.

14. Learn something practical

We live in a society where most things can be achieved by pressing a few buttons on a screen. Your mind and body are capable of doing much more than that. A few examples of practical things to try: playing an instrument, cooking a meal, checking your car, fixing a sink.

15. Gatekeep something

Take this one with a grain of salt. The best things in life are shared, but there are some pretty good things that are just more fun to keep to yourself, at least for a little while. That secret bar nobody seems to know about? Enjoy a few drinks alone or some intimate first dates in it before you take your group of friends. That great new restaurant? Let them find their footing before making them go viral on TikTok. That untouched beach? Keep it untouched.

16. Work as much or as a little as you want (and can afford to)

Beyond doing the work you have to do to stay alive, it’s up to you to decide when to work harder and when to take it easy. Toxic productivity is a thing and if it’s really toxic, then it should be avoided. But having a job you genuinely enjoy and catching momentum in your career are also things, and should be appreciated.

17. Take better pictures and videos

No, this isn’t about content. It’s about having more ways to remember what you’re going to want to remember. There are likely thousands of articles and videos about how you can take better pictures and videos. Read or watch one of them.

18. All the usual health reminders

We all already know these things, but we still need to be reminded: Drink more water, get better sleep, exercise every now and then, get some sunlight, take some vitamins, get a checkup.

19. Read a book about something you saw on TikTok

…or on Reddit, or heard about on a podcast. If the tidbit of information on the topic piqued your interest, chances are so will its history and nuances. You’ll also be able to say “I read somewhere that…” and actually have read something.

20. Embrace bad moods

Nobody is happy all the time. And even if someone was, that doesn’t mean you have to be. Feel your feels and take however much time you need to get through negative emotions. Wanting them to not exist only makes things worse.

21. Learn to shrug things off

You’re entitled to feel the way you feel, but few people are actively trying to insult, offend, or otherwise hurt you by things they say or do. So do what you have to do, shrug it off, then stop thinking about it.

22. Forgive a few people

There are reasons we get angry and disappointed, but there are also reasons to forgive. Maybe it was a bad breakup or a friendship gone awry. If the lessons have been learned and the changes have been made, forgiving people might feel good for everyone involved. While we’re at it, think of the reasons you’re angry at and disappointed with yourself—and forgive yourself for those things, too.

23. And finally, listen to “Everybody’s Free (To Wear Sunscreen)

AN ORDEAL IN A UNIVERSITY : life experience.

I'm glad that things somehow go in a way you plan but having to go to a university like this was not something anyone would wish for. Initially i was supposed to go to another university, maybe my dream university or so i thought, i already did the university application and it was to my utter dismay that i was accepted into the university, anyways that was just me thinking it would remain like that.

I am in a mess or perhaps that word is not intense enough to show my deepest regrets and everlasting problems I'm facing now in university. As thoughtful as everything might be, its not exactly too perfect to call it perfect. As the saying goes" birds without feathers flop together". If someone eventually tells you what type of life to live, then it shows how they put pressure in you and lower your self esteem. And in this sense it simply means how they put imerse force  on you. You will not notice it but definitely it is something serious. And if you continue in a deserted way and live an abandoned life then you are also causing yourself harm. Let's be honest with everyone, even if you are a pro at what you do then i would say you are certainly the best at it. And not to make matters worst our image comes first before things we do

Let's be honest with reality and things that are around us, almost half of the people we meet in life today aren't truly what they show us they are, maybe in the outside that's what they are but eventually within time you will notice, even after the state we are in now it's never deservable.

At a sight of everything that's happening, people with certain responsibilities will have to prove how lucrative they are in handling certain situations at certain tiimes.

Imagine staying in a room together with people that smokes and as a matter to make life worst. They bully, cause problems and basically they make your life frustrating and they affect your mental health. it is never to be expected as your parents do not actually know what is going on. They just believe things happen the way you want it, but they are the ones that tell you not to do this or that and not to follow this people or that person and it just basically makes them believe or think that it is good parenting..

Lies they keep telling us I'm wondering if our parents will ever try to put their place in our shoes and think and imagine what we are actually going through, nevertheless with prayer and how things happen, they will never remain the same. If you're careful enough and think twice before doing anything you will definitely  and certainly make it.

How I got into TKS ( The knowledge society)

At first I didn't actually think I would get into TKS because I have been applying and there weren't accepting me. But with time I found out that it was very easy.

The first thing I did was to go to their website and apply and after applying they sent the email I used to register "if I get in they would schedule and interview with me". He took alot of effort to actually get accepted to be interviewed and I was really happy indeed.

I was sent an email about who was going to interview me. That was the director at TKS. I was very happy and I hoped everytime that I would pass the interview. The day of the interview came and I did it perfectly and answered alot of questions from the director.

Frankly speaking with glory elijah

Glory Elijah is a popular Youtuber whose ‘Frankly Speaking’ talk show is one of the most followed reality review shows across the continent. Known for her season reviews of the hugely popular Big Brother franchise, ROTIMI IGE caught up with her to know about her journey into media, her show, content creation, among other issues.

Who is Glory Elijah?

I am a digital content creator with a passion for creating conversations around TV, cinema, social media content via commentaries, reviews and analysis of reality TV shows, movies and trending issues. I am a graduate of English language and literature, a diploma holder in Mass Communication and a certified advertising and branding expert whose versatility is richly expressed on my YouTube channel, ‘Frankly Speaking with Glory Elijah’.

‘Frankly Speaking with Glory Elijah’ is the name of my YouTube channel. I call it a space for self-expression with a mission to build a community of like-minded individuals who appreciate TV and Film creativity. ‘Frankly Speaking with Glory Elijah’ blazes the trail in projecting the realities and cultural diversities portrayed in popular reality TV shows, movies and trending social issues via carefully created visual and audio content. With over 370,000 subscribers across various social media platforms, I have a massive reach of a delightfully engaging global audience from over 122 countries around the world, each with a different kind of attraction to the brand. Each and everyone of my subscribers or followers when asked, always has a personal reason for liking and engaging with my content.

How long have you been a YouTuber and how did you grow your audience?

It’s been six years now and counting. I started my YouTube channel in 2017 as a fresh graduate from University. I had done my NYSC and was fascinated with the world of filming oneself, speaking and interacting with unseen people. I had ideas; I had things to say but I needed the right platform and the right kind of audience to engage my thoughts, so I started but I had limited resources to even sustain the channel, so I stopped. I had taken a nine months break but then I revived my craft  in 2018, after I was sure I knew the exact type of content I wanted to create and had some equipment to help me continue. Growing my audience was by consistency. I upload videos daily which means I need to have something to share with my audience daily which is one of the truths about YouTube and other social media platforms; the more you show up, the more you are seen, the more you perfect your craft and the more your audience increase in numbers and expand across these platforms.

How has the journey been like for you as a brand and a content creator?

Frankly, it’s been a tough journey. From struggling to save up off my meagre salary from my corporate job for an android phone, a tripod and a lapel mic,  to struggling to learn the ropes of YouTube and even muster the confidence to face the camera. I took baby steps and stayed consistent, I was constantly creating videos; they weren’t perfect, but I continued regardless because I believed and still believe in organic growth and it eventually paid off in 2019 when I finally discovered my true content niche which was reviews and analyses of TV shows, movies and trending social media conversations.

What motivated you to choose that content niche?

It was the audience. So, the first time I watched a reality TV show; I had a lot to say; I mean, a truck load so I discussed it all with a friend and we bantered over it for a while. It was at a point in our conversation that this friend encouraged me to turn my analysis into my niche as I made valid points with my arguments, so I started trying out. I started with reviewing movies, then reality TV shows and then from time to time, I discuss trending social issues.

My audience helped a lot I mean; of course, there was a lot of negative and positive criticisms which I took as feedback and never really allowed the negatives to deter me but rather, I learned from them to improve my craft and it paid off. Looking back now; I’m grateful someone saw that potential and helped me identify it. Also; my audience is my biggest motivation as their constant engagement of my content keeps me on track. Knowing that I have people from all around the world who seek my opinion and gladly shares theirs on my channel and other social media spaces, is all I need to continue in this path.

Which shows and movies have you reviewed so far?

For the reality tv shows, I regularly review the viewers favourite; Big Brother Naija, Big Brother South Africa, Nigerian Idol, Young Famous and African, The Real Housewives of Lagos, The Voice Nigeria, MTN Yellow Star, Gulder Ultimate Search, and Blue Therapy. I review these shows as they come every season. For the movies; I’ll name some of my favourites; ‘King of thieves’, ‘Ageshinkonle’ and ‘Sylvia’. They are really great movies, so I thoroughly enjoyed analysing them.

From the shows and movies you have been reviewing so far, do the producers and organisers acknowledge your work?

Good question! I think they do to be honest because in my analysis, I also offer suggestions on areas of improvement for their production, I share my audience’s feedback and most of the time, I’m amazed to see some of my suggestions and feedback applied in their shows. Those are really proud moments for me. Also, I’ve recently been getting some invitations to some of their functions, so I believe that counts for massive acknowledgements.

How did you come about the name, ‘Frankly Speaking with Glory Elijah’?

It stems from the words “frankness, honesty, bluntness, accuracy, factual”. So, I had always wanted a space where not only I but also my audience can express our thoughts and perspectives bluntly and with all frankness so ‘Frankly Speaking’ came to mind and I rode with it. The first idea for a brand name for me was ‘The Be Frank Show’ but I felt it was too bland, so I stuck with ‘Frankly Speaking’ instead. I actually love that my channel and audience live up to the name.

The Ups and Downs of UI/UX Design: A Guide Through It — Understanding UI/UX Design
